A Message from Our Executive Headmaster

Stephen Hazley

The opportunity to educate other people's children is a rare privilege, bringing with it a huge responsibility to provide the best all-round education possible as we aim to prepare young people for happiness and success in their adult lives. At Reddam House Bedfordview we take this responsibility extremely seriously and we care about the individual and pride ourselves on the warmth of a community in which all our students feel valued.

We believe that school should be fun and happy children are more likely to be successful. We see it as our responsibility to bring out our students’ talents, to broaden their interests and to develop their personal qualities. To do this we aim to foster confidence, perseverance, tolerance and integrity; to enhance communication skills; to embrace creativity; to encourage teamwork; and to promote an open-minded and outward-looking mentality so that students are ready to make a really positive contribution to their wider community.

Stephen Hazley, Executive Headmaster

The History of Bedfordview

The History of Bedfordview

The history of Reddam House Bedfordview begins in July 1993 when Bedfordview Christian College was created. By December of that year, the Christian Family Church had agreed to rent their Sunday school facilities to the school and there were 42 registered names - from 3 year-olds right through to Grade 7. January 1994 saw Bedfordview Christian College (BCC) private school open its doors for the first time, to 42 students and 4 teachers.

Ever expanding numbers necessitated the purchase and construction of a school on its own property, which was achieved in 1997. With many requests from parents for a High School, Reddam House Bedfordview was formed and on Wednesday 29 January 2003, the school as we know it now opened for business. There were almost 500 ELS and Preparatory students, alongside 201 College pupils, all housed in temporary log cabins in the ground of Bedfordview Christian College.
